London (TDI): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar on Monday held meetings with British Members of Parliament of Pakistani origin, including Mohammad Yasin, Tahir Ali, Imran Hussain, Ayoub Khan, and Adnan Hussain.
During the discussions, Dar underscored the deep historical and cultural ties between Pakistan and the United Kingdom, noting that the vibrant Pakistani diaspora plays a pivotal role in strengthening connections between the two nations.
He described the diaspora as a bridge fostering mutual understanding, cultural exchanges, and robust people-to-people links.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing bilateral parliamentary exchanges with the UK, highlighting that such engagements facilitate sharing democratic experiences, international best practices, and core democratic values, key elements for the growth and stability of democratic institutions in both countries.
He also expressed appreciation for the British MPs’ proactive efforts in raising awareness about human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
