Kuala Lumpur (TDI): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar arrived in Kuala Lumpur to represent Pakistan at the 32nd ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting, set to take place in Kuala Lumpur on Friday.
The gathering will bring together foreign ministers and senior officials from 27 ARF member states, along with the ASEAN secretary-general, to discuss pressing political and security issues affecting the Asia-Pacific region, according to a statement from the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office.
The forum’s agenda will focus on promoting peace, stability, and cooperation through open and constructive dialogue among member nations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Dar will share Pakistan’s views on key regional and global matters, reaffirming the country’s support for multilateral diplomacy and peaceful resolution of conflicts.
On the margins of the forum, Ishaq Dar is likely to meet with Malaysia’s foreign minister, along with several other counterparts from participating countries.

While in Kuala Lumpur, he also plans to spend time with members of the Pakistani community based in Malaysia.
Founded in 1994, the ASEAN Regional Forum has become one of the region’s most important platforms for discussing political and security concerns across the Asia-Pacific.
