FLSmidth’s CEO excited to go forward with mutually beneficial projects
Islamabad 2 September 2024 (TDI): FLSmidth, a Danish multinational technology giant, has expressed interest in investing billions of dollars in the mining sector of Pakistan.
FLSmidth’s CEO Miko Ketto in leadership of Danish Ambassador Jacob Linulf also held detailed sessions here with Pakistani Federal Ministers in this connection. During the sessions, the ministers highlighted huge reservoirs of mines in Pakistan.
During the meeting, Federal Minister for Water Resources Musadik Malik conveyed to the Danish delegation that Pakistan will welcome investment in the mining sector of the country. He also stressed transfer of technology and creating research and development opportunities for students.
Moreover, Federal Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb assured every possible cooperation from the ministry for the Danish investment.
Commenting on the possible investment by FLSmidth, Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said that it is encouraging and would yield positive result. He said that the government is interested in promoting private partnership in investment.

Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan said that Denmark is an important business partner of Pakistan and “we want to see this relationship to be strengthen further”.
On this occasions the ambassador said that Denmark has been engaging in state the art projects in Pakistan for the last 30 years.
While Miko Ketto expressed the resolve that his company will go forward with achievable proposals and beneficial projects in the mining sector.
