Commander of Royal Saudi Naval Forces visited Naval Headquarters

Islamabad, 6 October 2021 (TDI): Commander of Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF), Vice Admiral Fahad Bin Abdullah Al-Ghofaily, visited Naval Headquarters Islamabad on 5 October. Upon his arrival, he was received by Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi. A contingent of the Pakistan Navy presented Guard of Honor to the visiting dignitary.

Later Admiral Fahad Bin Abdullah held a meeting with Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi. Both leaders discussed matters of mutual interests and bilateral naval collaboration. Admiral Amjad briefed him about the role and capabilities of the Pakistan Navy. He said Pakistan Navy is actively working for maritime security and stability in the region. He also informed the visiting dignitary about Pakistan’s Navy initiative of Regional Maritime Security Patrols (RMSP).

Commander Admiral Fahad appreciated Pakistan’s role in ensuring maritime security in the region. Both leaders pledged to further strengthen bilateral naval cooperation in diverse fields including training, mutual visits, and defense collaboration.

Commander Admiral Fahad Bin Abdullah Al-Ghofaily is in Pakistan from the ongoing Pak-Saudi Naval exercise “Naseem Al-Bahr 13” which commenced on 3 October. He also met with Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Nadeem Raza.
