COAS met Qatari special envoy at GHQ

Islamabad: 10 July 2021-(TDI):  Dr. Mutrak bin Majid Qatani, Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar on Counter-Terrorism and Conflict Mediation, called Chief of the Army’s Staff General Kamal Javed Bajwa, at the headquarters yesterday. During the meeting at the headQuarters, officials discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security, and the latest updates on the Afghan peace process. Moreover, cooperation on different fields between both states was also discussed in detail. General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief Of Army Staff acknowledged the role of Qatar in organizing and facilitating the Afghan peace process. Chief said they expect Qatar to keep its role in ensuring peace and stability in the region. The senior official also praised Pakistan’s continued efforts to bring peace and stability to the region and pledged to continue its efforts to strengthen relations between the two countries.
