Qatar: July 09, 2021- (TDI): The Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan General Qamar Javed Bajwa is on an official two-day visit to the State of Qatar. According to the ISPR the COAS called on the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and held various meetings with the Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiya and the Chief of staff of Qatar Armed Forces Lt Gen. Ghanim bin Shaheen Al Ghanim.
He met with the military leadership of Qatar and shared their thoughts on increasing cooperation among the armed forces of both the countries. The topics under discussion during this meeting were of mutual interest, defense, and the regional environment. Furthermore, Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa shared that both Pakistan and Qatar have a history of cordial relations and share a deep spirit of brotherhood.
The COAS appreciated the role of Qatar and its efforts in the Afghan Peace Process. Whereas Qatar dignitaries appreciated Pakistan’s continued efforts for creating peace and stability in the region.
