Lahore (TDI): British High Commissioner Jane Marriott met the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, along with her team. The meeting was arranged in honor of the outgoing British Political Counsellor Zoe Ware.
CM Maryam Nawaz appreciated the positive and thoughtful role of the UK in the recent Pak-India tension and stressed on further promoting partnership in matters of mutual interest; education, investment, environmental protection, and good governance.
She paid tribute to Zoe Ware and lauded her diplomatic services. She said that Counsellor Ware performed her duties with integrity, hard work and a spirit of partnership.
The CM especially commended Zoe Ware’s role in global environmental projects like the Earthshot Prize. She said that Counsellor Ware will always be remembered as a friend in Punjab.
CM Nawaz told the British Envoy her that the Punjab government highly values ​​the services of Jane Marriott as High Commissioner.
