Bandar Seri Begawan (TDI): Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, during an official visit to Brunei Darussalam, met with the Sultan of Brunei Haji Hassanal Bolkiah and several high-ranking officials to further strengthen military-to-military relations and enhance defense cooperation between Pakistan and Brunei.
During his interactions, General Shamshad underscored Pakistan’s strong and cordial relations with Brunei and reiterated his commitment to enhancing military cooperation and collaboration in defense matters, according to ISPR.
The CJCSC also visited the KDB Darulaman ship at Muara Naval Base and the Defense Academy of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, where he delivered a lecture on “Pakistan’s Contributions to Regional Peace and Stability” to students, including officers from 19 foreign countries.

The Sultan and civil-military leadership of Brunei praised Pakistan’s armed forces for their high professional standards, their achievements, and sacrifices in combating terrorism, further solidifying the bond between the two nations.

This visit comes shortly after General Shamshad’s trip to Bangladesh, where he also discussed strengthening defense cooperation with Bangladesh’s military leadership, marking another step towards enhancing regional security and diplomatic ties for Pakistan.
