Beijing, 17 May 2023 (TDI): Today, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng met with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon in Beijing.
During the talks, Han expressed that Chinese President Xi Jinping highly values President Rahmon’s visit and is committed to collaborating with him in formulating a fresh roadmap for the future advancement of bilateral relations, propelling China-Tajikistan relations into an unprecedented era.
He said that China and Tajikistan enjoy a comprehensive strategic partnership with a shared future. The collaboration between both nations across diverse sectors has yielded substantial outcomes and tangible advantages for their respective populations.
Moreover, he also expressed China’s willingness to enhance strategic synergy with Tajikistan, step up mutual support and advance all-round practical cooperation, further adding that the Communist Party of China is leading the Chinese people in advancing the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through a Chinese path to modernization.
Rahmon, on his part, this year signifies the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the strategic partnership between Tajikistan and China, and bilateral cooperation across multiple domains continues to advance steadily.
He then added that Tajikistan firmly adheres to the one-China policy, finally expressing his belief that the China-Central Asia Summit will significantly elevate bilateral relations to a higher echelon.
Since Rahmon is currently on a state visit to China, he will be participating in the China-Central Asia Summit held in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province.
In addition to this, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan is also in China for the China-Central Asia Summit and a state visit. Chinese President Xi Jinping attended and held talks with him in Xi’an.
