Beijing, 7 August 2021 (TDI): An art exhibition featuring Russian and Chinese art pieces opened in Beijing. The exhibition opened at the Russian Cultural Center on 2 August 2021 and will continue till 14, August 2021. This art exhibition is composed of more than 30 art pieces of Chinese and Russian artists. The artwork is based on calligraphy, painting, and sculptures. The purpose of organizing “the Partner of Beauty exhibition” is to enhance people-to-people cultural exchange between the two states through art.
Some art pieces by Russian art experts are placed at the National Art Museum of China. At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Wu Weishan, the curator of China’s National Art Museum said that the goal of the museum is to provide a platform for cultural interaction, and exhibiting the artwork from both countries is a gesture that reflects cultural dialogue.
This exhibition is not the first symbol of good ties between the two states. Previously, on 16, July 2021 the Foreign Affairs Ministry of China organized an exhibition on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good-neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation Between Beijing and Moscow, where over 60 archives, documents, and photos were displayed. The theme of the exhibition was fast improving relations between China and Russia.
