Islamabad (TDI): The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar today in Islamabad.
The meeting focused on reaffirming the all-weather strategic partnership between Pakistan and China. Both sides held a detailed exchange of views on recent regional developments, particularly the Pahalgam attack that occurred on 22 April 2025.
The incident was discussed in the context of regional security and stability. Both parties expressed concern over the evolving situation and underscored the importance of maintaining regular communication.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar shared Pakistan’s view on the growing security issues that followed the Pahalgam attack on April 22, 2025. He provided a clear summary of Pakistan’s internal assessments, explaining the complex situation and the country’s strong commitment to tackling these challenges directly.
Ambassador Jiang Zaidong shared China’s position and emphasized the need for vigilance in addressing emerging challenges. Both sides agreed on the importance of monitoring developments closely and maintaining coordination on matters of shared interest.
The discussion also included a review of ongoing bilateral cooperation. Both sides reaffirmed their respective commitments to projects already underway, including initiatives linked to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
