Beijing, 17 September 2021 (TDI): On 16 September, Ambassador Deng Xijun shared news of the Tuesday meeting between the Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Liu Jinsong and Bruneian Ambassador to China Pehin Dato Rehmani. The two Ambassadors exchanged views on strengthening their bilateral relations.

In the meeting, Liu Jinsong revealed that both countries have long-term plans to develop the region. In this regard, China and Brunei working hand in hand to achieve the vision through connecting Long-Range Objectives Thru 2035 and Wawasan Brunai 2035.
Ambassador Deng Xijun tweeted, “DG Liu: The year 2021 marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China-Brunei diplomatic relations & of China-#ASEAN dialogue relations, w/ Brunei as ASEAN’s rotating Chair.”
This year marks as 30th anniversary of China-Brunai and China-ASEAN relations. In addition, China is pursuing more cooperation on economic projects and China-Burani relations.
