Islamabad, 13 January 2023 (TDI): The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Nong Rong makes a farewell courtesy call with Raja Pervez Ashraf, Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan.
Raja Pervez Ashraf highly regarded his term at Pakistan, for his significant contribution to strengthening Pakistan and China’s bilateral relations.
The Speaker said that Pakistan highly valued the “ironclad” relationship with China. The all-weather strategic cooperation with China had gone from strength to strength due to the dedication, consistent and sincere efforts from both sides.
The role of the Emissary in the effort to strengthen the partnership between the two states was very significant. Speaker Raja Pervez has also appreciated his significant work to promote parliamentary cooperation between the two states.
In addition, he said learning from the parliamentary experience from each other and creating mutual opportunities under the strategic partnership would deepen and strengthen the further relationship between the two states.

The Chinese Ambassador expressed his gratitude towards Speaker for his kind words and said Pakistan is his second home. Further, he added, “I had a very memorable experience in Pakistan during my two years of stay”.
Ambassador Nong Rong maintained that China and Pakistan’s relationship has a very bright future, and he would wish to see further growth in partnership between the two countries.
He also added that China would support Pakistan in pursuit of its national development and objectives. China will continue to support Pakistan’s post-flood reconstruction and capacity building to address and combat climate change.
Earlier Chinese leadership pledged $1 billion from an Asian infrastructure investment bank and $100 million separately for Resilient Pakistan.
Both sides have also discussed the ongoing international and regional situations, and the expansion of bi-literal cooperation with respect to trade and people-to-people exchange between China and Pakistan.
In the end, Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf wished the Ambassador success and good luck for his future.
