Chinese Air Chief Lauds PAF’s Precision in Clash with India

Islamabad (TDI): Chief of Staff of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), Lieutenant General Wang Gang, has praised the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) for its performance during its recent military engagement with India, calling it a “model of precision and discipline” under pressure.

Speaking during a high-level visit to PAF Headquarters on Tuesday, Lt Gen Wang commended the leadership of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu and the professionalism of Pakistani pilots in what he described as a clear and calculated response to aggression.

“The PAF’s handling of the situation was not just decisive, it demonstrated a refined blend of strategic judgment and operational courage,” he said, according to a statement by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The meeting between the two air chiefs covered a range of topics, including regional security, mutual interests, and the expansion of bilateral cooperation in airpower and joint operations.

During the visit, Lt Gen Wang expressed interest in how the Pakistan Air Force operates across different combat domains. He said China’s air force is looking to learn from Pakistan’s real-world experience, particularly in how it has adapted to modern warfare requirements.

The delegation was also briefed in detail about how the PAF has evolved, including updates to its command structure, new aircraft acquisitions, and shifts in operational planning. Lt Gen Wang noted the PAF’s high level of preparedness and said its recent performance showed both professionalism and technological advancement.

Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu thanked the visiting officials and spoke of the close military ties between the two countries. He said Pakistan and China share common security concerns and continue to work together for stability in the region.

“Our bond with the PLAAF is anchored in mutual respect, shared goals, and a longstanding friendship,” the PAF chief said. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s intention to deepen collaboration in training, technology, and operational planning.

According to the ISPR, the visit underscored the strong alignment between the two air forces and their collective aim to strengthen security ties through innovation and joint efforts.
