China and Uzbekistan have marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries

Beijing, 2 January 2022 (TDI): China and Uzbekistan have marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, on Sunday.

On this occasion, the Chinese President, Xi Jinping, and Uzbek President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke to each other. The two leaders congratulated each other over the remarkable 3 decades of friendship and mutually beneficial ties.

While exchanging messages with his counterpart, President Xi noted that in the past 30 years, the relations have kept pace with the times and forged ahead. China-Uzbek relations have set a wonderful example of partnering International Relations in the given period, he claimed.

The two nations have developed harmonious coexistence and win-win cooperation among them. Chinese President’s message also included the endorsement that the learning by both of the nations from each other has equally benefitted both parties.

The two have worked together in opening-up, development, and revitalization, which are also the main sources of learning for them. During the Pandemic, they had also assisted each other in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

China and Uzbekistan have also developed themselves into genuine and comprehensive strategic partners. Moreover, President Xi also considered diplomatic relations between the countries highly important.

Uzbek President

While Uzbek President called the 30 years of relations as a glorious chapter in the friendly relations between the two nations. He also noted that Uzbekistan-China comprehensive strategic partnership is thriving.

The bilateral cooperation between the two countries has seen smooth progress and people-to-people and cultural exchanges are being enhanced continuously, he added. China and Uzbekistan have also balanced close communication within the frameworks of international and regional organizations.

President Mirziyoyev has also reaffirmed that Uzbekistan will stand ready to extend the Belt and Road (BRI) cooperation with China. The two countries are also ready to promote friendly relations and all-around cooperation between the two countries.
