Beijing, 4 November 2022 (TDI): The President of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan on her visit to China met with Chinese President, Xi Jinping. The two leaders met to ensure that the relationship which exists between their countries will strengthen.

The visit seeks to promote more international relations and partnerships between China and the African country. Both have a very close tie when it comes to diplomatic, economic, and foreign relations affairs.

During the visit the President of China, Xi Jinping expressed his joy for the visit. He again noted that this has been the first time an African leader visited China after the celebration of the 20 years of the party’s reign.

President Xi Jinping engaged Samia Suluhu Hassan on his plans and vision for cooperation between his country and Tanzania.

He made it clear that his party; the Communist Party of China (CPC) will continue to reach out to all African nations to ensure the relationships between China and other nations strengthens.

He assured her that, China will continue to support Tanzania and the rest of the African countries with both economic and humanitarian support.

While President Samia Suluhu Hassan on her part expressed thanks for the opportunity given to her to meet with Xi Jinping. She assured him of the continued cooperation between their countries.

Likewise, the Tanzanian President congratulated President Xi Jinping at the 20th National Congress as well as for his re-election.

China-Tanzania Relations

The two partners have enjoyed long-term relations for many years. China has continued to work closely with the African country for all these years.

The two countries have been collaborating with each other for all these years, in the words of Chinese State Councilor and Defence Minister Wei Fenghe “China and Tanzania are devoted brothers, trustworthy friends, and sincere partners”.
