China Stands Firm with Pakistan: Premier Li Tells Pak President

ISLAMABAD, (TDI): President Asif Ali Zardari met with Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Tuesday, during which the visiting premier commended Pakistan for its strong support on key issues. He said that China stands firm with Pakistan in every condition.

This marks the first visit by a Chinese premier to Pakistan in eleven years.

“China will continue to support Pakistan’s territorial integrity, independence, and prosperity,” Li Qiang stated.

During the meeting, the President emphasized the importance of improving communication through all-weather roads to strengthen commercial and public relations.

Separately, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also met with Prime Minister Li Qiang in Islamabad, where they discussed bilateral relations. Both sides agreed to enhance bilateral trade and collaborate on regional peace and stability.

In his remarks, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq noted that hosting the SCO meeting is an honor for Pakistan, projecting a positive image of the country and enhancing regional cooperation.

He emphasized that China is a strategic partner for Pakistan and expressed a commitment to increasing parliamentary cooperation between the two nations, including promoting the exchange of parliamentary delegations in the future.
