NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, said that the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, visiting Taiwan is not a reason for China to overreact and threaten Taiwan.
Chinese Spokesperson criticized NATO remarks
Chinese spokesperson responds to the NATO Secretary General’s statement and said that China strongly opposed Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan. But Pelosi visits China’s Taiwan region and seriously violated the One-China principle.
Pelosi invading on China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and violated the basic norms of international relations.
It provoked strong aggression among the Chinese people and sparked widespread opposition from the international community. China is also taking the countermeasure to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
China’s steps are necessary to secure regional peace, stability, and international law that does not intervene in the sovereignty of any other state.
In this way, China’s measures are necessary and justified. The countermeasures are not an overreaction at all.
It is the US that is responsible to bring the crisis in the region and creating trouble and escalating the tensions in the Taiwan Strait.
The US should and must accept full responsibility for the situation because it was the trigger by the US. China has to take protective measures to defend its sovereignty after the US launched a hostile attempt.
The Secretary General of NATO twisted right and wrong in his remarks. Stoltenberg also confused good and evil, and openly defended the offender. He also put pressure on those who tried to uphold their rights.
China condemns NATO’s actions
Chunying said that it exposes NATO’s bullying tactics, dishonesty, and ugliness as the biggest military alliance in the world and a Cold War remnant.
The US-led NATO is the leading example of those who start wars, instigate conflicts, and cause difficulty around the globe, whether in the present or the past.
Hua Chunying also said, “We refuse to be treated like Iraq, Syria, or Afghanistan.”
The 1.4 billion Chinese people will also respond firmly to anybody who tries to undercut and challenge China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Chinese people will never accept an international lawbreaker to rule over their internal affairs.
