Brussels, 5 August 2022 (TDI): The Spokesperson of the Chinese Mission to the EU criticized the G7 and EU statement on China’s military exercises in Taiwan Strait. The Spokesperson shared China’s response in a tweet.

G7 Foreign Ministers and the EU High Representative gave the statement in response to China’s actions against the Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan.

A statement was released on August 3, 2022, explaining that China’s actions are increasing tensions and destabilizing the region.

G7 and the EU urged China to settle disputes with the US across the Taiwan Strait peacefully and to refrain from unilaterally changing the status quo in the area through force.

While the Chinese Spokesperson said that the world suffered from so many wars, turmoil, and instability. These evil and shameless doings explain it well because they are responsible for the many wars and instability in the world.

Chinese Spokesperson claimed that there is no article in the UN Charter on the rules-based international order except one provision that territorial integrity and national sovereignty are inviolable.

Taiwan is a part of China. If any state interferes in Taiwan’s internal affairs, then that state violates China’s sovereignty. It was further said that China is not changing the status quo of the region.

Hostile foreign forces and the separatist forces in Taiwan are the biggest culprits trying to change the status quo across the Taiwan Strait.

China’s sovereignty is seriously provoked because Taiwan is China’s territorial integrity that is gravely threatened due to the interference of foreign powers. China will not accept this aggression.

The steps taken by the Chinese government to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity are entirely appropriate and necessary.

The statement of the Foreign Ministers of G7 and EU mentioned that both were committed to maintaining peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.

Chinese Spokesperson questioned that statement what is it? What do they intend to do? China follows its one-China policy which means that China and Taiwan are not separated.

The Spokesperson further stated, “the Chinese people have long since seen through your actions of hollowing out the one-China policy and your conspiracy attempts. We will be extra vigilant and ready for the challenge.”

The Eight-Power Allied Forces invaded China more than a century ago. Today, the G7+1 has eight parties again. The Chinese Spokesperson said that if they want to form new “Eight-Power Allied Forces” to influence China, then those days are gone when foreign powers oppressed the Chinese people.

Taiwan affairs are purely China’s internal affairs. The time has gone when the western powers ruled the world as they want. It is up to the 1.4 billion Chinese people to decide on matters surrounding Taiwan.

The Chinese Spokesperson said, “Let me be serious and clear: we will not fight if they don’t fight us; we will fight back if they fight us. For any act in violation of China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, the Chinese people will fight back twice as hard.”
