China provides vaccines to Nicaragua

The vaccine cooperation will help to strengthen the bilateral cooperation of the two states.

Managua, 13 December 2021 (TDI): China has sent the first batch of the Coronavirus vaccines to Nicaragua after the resumption of diplomatic relations between the two states.

China announced the donation of 1 million doses of vaccine to Nicaragua. It has sent 200, 000 doses of Sinopharm vaccines in the first batch to Nicaragua. The vaccines were transported by Air China which landed in Nicaragua along with the Nicaraguan delegation which visited China.<

The Nicaraguan President’s advisor Laureano Ortega Murillo called the donation of vaccines great news for the people of Nicaragua. He stated that Nicaragua can get huge help from the Chinese experience of development. He said that the Chinese donation of vaccines to Nicaragua is the first step to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries. Nicaragua looks forward to enhancing its cooperation to strengthen bilateral relations, he added.

Just 38% of the adult population of Nicaragua has been fully vaccinated. While its 67% adult population has got at least one dose of vaccine. The Chinese donation of vaccines to Nicaragua will help the Nicaraguan government to achieve the goal of fully vaccinating its whole population.
China announced the donation of vaccines of the Coronavirus vaccines after the resumption of diplomatic relations between the two sides. Nicaragua has abandoned its relations with Taiwan to re-establish its relations with China.
The two countries in the previous week announced the official resumption of diplomatic relations. China looks forward to strengthening its bilateral relations with Nicaragua. It has also cordially invited Nicaragua to join the Chinese project of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). The vaccine cooperation will help to deepen their trust to enhance their diplomatic relations.
