China provides academic support to Pakistan

Islamabad: 31 July 2021 (TDI)

China’s academic support continues for Pakistan as 50 schools gifted by the Chinese government to the children in the Khyber district of Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province are all set to open.

The Chinese state-affiliated media shared a featured story of Sharafat Afridi, a father of 3 daughters, who is eagerly awaiting for the construction of these schools to be completed. The Khyber district of Pakistan was severely affected by terrorism in the past decade. The increased terrorism also affected the educational system of the district. Afridi seeks the opening of these schools so that the educational system of the district can be revived and that his daughters can continue their schooling.

Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong shared the featured story on Twitter and stated that China aid seeks at bringing a better and bright future for children of Pakistan and also mentioned that he hopes to see the children of the district attending the classrooms as early as possible.
