Wang proposed four key initiatives for the BRICS nations to jointly address security threats.

Four Initiatives

He said that BRICS countries should lead by example in practicing peaceful coexistence and adhering to principles of independence and autonomy.

Yi said that the member states should embrace genuine multilateralism, rejecting exceptionalism and double standards.

There should be a firm promotion of political resolutions for hotspot issues, with respect for each other’s legitimate concerns, he said.

Wang Yi added that BRICS countries must advocate for justice and fairness on the international stage, supporting a multipolar world and inclusive economic globalization.
