Shanghai (TDI): Chinese Premier Li Qiang has announced a commitment to further open China’s doors to foreign-funded enterprises, regardless of the shifting international landscape.
Speaking at a meeting with select exhibitors and buyers at the seventh China International Import Expo (CIIE) on Monday, Li emphasized that China remains an attractive market for global companies, including industry giants like Synopsys, General Electric, MSD, and China FAW Group, according to Xinhua.
Despite challenges in the global economic recovery, the Chinese economy has shown stability and progress, with Li asserting that the Chinese market continues to be one of the best options for international businesses.
The premier highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to ease market access and expand openings in critical sectors such as telecommunications, education, culture, and healthcare.

He assured foreign firms of a commitment to enhancing the business environment by ensuring equal access to production factors, qualification licensing, and government procurement opportunities.
Li expressed optimism that China would not only serve as an export market for foreign companies but also emerge as a hub for investment and entrepreneurship, fostering stronger connections with the global economy.
