China Pledges Greater Cooperation With ASEAN Nations

Beijing (TDI): China has expressed its readiness to expand cooperation with ASEAN member states across a range of sectors, seeking to deepen mutual benefits and advance the China-ASEAN partnership, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said on Wednesday.

Speaking at a regular news briefing in Beijing, Guo said China was willing to further tap the potential for cooperation with ASEAN countries and achieve a higher level of mutually beneficial and win-win outcomes.

Responding to a question about the upcoming 23rd China-ASEAN Expo and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, Guo noted that 2026 marks the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership.

“Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both sides, practical cooperation between China and ASEAN across various fields has yielded fruitful results, and economic and trade ties have grown ever closer,” Guo said.
