YINCHUAN, (TDI): The 11th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum recently concluded in Yinchuan, the capital of Northwest China’s Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
More than 35 cooperation projects valued at 11.2 billion yuan ($1.57 billion) were signed at the forum, according to the China News Agency.
These projects encompass various sectors, including economy, trade, agriculture, and technology, demonstrating the forum’s commitment to enhancing collaboration between China and Central Asian nations.
Cui Li, vice president of the Good-Neighborliness, Friendship, and Cooperation Commission of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, highlighted at the closing ceremony that the forum aimed to broaden interactions by focusing on green development, the digital economy, smart agriculture, cultural exchanges, and think tank cooperation.

Since its inception in 2012, the China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum has served as a vital platform for institutional exchanges and cooperation in areas such as connectivity, poverty alleviation, ecological protection, digital economy, health, and scientific innovation, garnering positive responses from participating countries.

Ningxia has also strengthened trade ties with the five Central Asian nations, reporting a total trade of 230 million yuan in 2023.
Kazakhstan emerged as Ningxia’s largest trading partner, with trade reaching 180 million yuan—an increase of 85.2 percent year-on-year, according to local officials.
