Dr. Li Kun, Chairman of the Board of Lanton Cloud Service Technology visited Pan Sorasak, the Minister of Commerce of Cambodia.

During this visit to the Ministry office, Chairman shared China’s intentions toward Cambodia’s E-commerce.

The plan presented by Dr. Li Kun was welcomed by Pan Sorasak. This gained support and cooperation from the Ministry of Commerce to promote e-commerce activities in Cambodia.

Moreover, the Lanton Application will cover the promotion of Cambodian products, e-payment, product delivery, and storage. Also, the facilitation of customs procedures and other related work will also be operated through this application.

Cambodia-China Economic agreements

During this occasion, the Pan Sorasak mentioned the potential of the Cambodia-China Free Trade Agreement (CCFTA), and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).

These agreements and partnerships will enhance economic activities through the export of particularly agricultural products. These include Pailin longans, bananas, cashew nuts, and other packaged food.

Furthermore, these economic initiatives will become a source of additional investment in processing for export from Cambodia to markets of China and the world.

In this regard, the Minister further reaffirmed the commitment of the Ministry of Commerce to a backup of the private sector.

This will be done by making laws and other necessary policies. The aim of these steps is to enrich the investment and the business environment in Cambodia.

Additionally, Pan Sorasak advised the Chinese delegation to collaborate with Sok Sopheak, Secretary of State for the Ministry of Commerce.

Sok Sopheak will lead a working group for the preparation of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Commerce and Lanton Service Technology.
