Phnom Penh (TDI): Chinese President Xi Jinping concluded his state visit to Cambodia on Friday, with both countries agreeing on jointly building an all-weather China-Cambodia community with a shared future in the new era.
On Thursday, Xi called on Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, Cambodian People’s Party President and Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, respectively.
The two sides exchanged over thirty bilateral collaboration documents spanning fields like production and supply chain cooperation, artificial intelligence (AI), development assistance, customs inspection and quarantine, health and media.
“We must work jointly to promote the continued progress in building the China-Cambodia community with a shared future in the new era,” Xi wrote in his signed article published in Cambodian media outlets on Thursday.
During their meeting, Xi and the Cambodian prime minister agreed to build an all-weather China-Cambodia community with a shared future in the new era.

Xi urged both sides to further advance the momentum, fortify unity and collaboration, and expedite the implementation of the Global Development Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative and the Global Security Initiative.
During his talks with the Cambodian King, Xi expressed optimism for adding a wonderful chapter of building an all-weather China-Cambodia partnership with a shared future in the new era.
He said, that both countries have always led the efforts to build a community with a shared future for mankind.

For his part, King Sihamoni stated that with the joint initiatives of both nations, cooperation in different fields has strengthen and the building of a community with a shared future has been continuously deepened.
In his talks with the Cambodian People’s Party president and Senate president, Xi stated building a China-Cambodia community with a shared future is a choice of history and the public on both sides.
