China Boosts Supply Chain Ties with Africa

-

Beijing, (TDI): China is set to deepen business cooperation with African nations in industrial and supply chain integration during the second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), scheduled to be held in Beijing from November 26 to 30.

This year’s CISCE, the world’s first exhibition dedicated to supply chain cooperation, aims to serve as a crucial platform for enhancing trade and investment partnerships between China and Africa.

The event follows the recently concluded China-Africa Cooperation Forum summit, where Chinese leadership reiterated its commitment to strengthening economic ties with the continent.

Wang Linjie, spokesperson for CCPIT, stated that China will leverage the Expo to promote innovation, knowledge-sharing, and deeper integration of industrial chains, creating opportunities for shared development and mutual benefits.

The event is expected to contribute to the stability and smooth operation of global industrial and supply chains.

During the summit held in September, China pledged to further open its market to African countries and encourage Chinese enterprises to increase direct investment in the continent.

In line with this commitment, the CISCE will offer free booths and setup services for enterprises from the least developed African nations to facilitate their participation, Wang noted.

For the upcoming CISCE, African countries such as Ethiopia, Côte d’Ivoire, Rwanda, Morocco, Ghana, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as well as the African Union, have confirmed their participation.

African enterprises from various sectors, including agriculture and mining, will exhibit their products at the event, aiming to secure high-quality contracts and establish connections with potential partners in China.

The CCPIT spokesperson added that a tailored “one-country, one-policy” and “one-group, one-policy” approach will be adopted during the Expo to support African businesses in identifying supply and demand connections and finding upstream and downstream partners.
