Pretoria, 26 November 2022 (TDI): The 2nd edition of the China-Africa Future Leaders’ Dialogue Forum for this year was held online. The forum sought to place Chinese and African youths in the efforts to revitalize cooperation across strategic areas like culture, education, diplomacy, and rural development.
The efforts to promote inclusiveness among African and Chinese youths were discussed. The youths of these continents need to equip themselves for the current terrain of development in their countries.
The need to promote higher education accessibility among African-Chinese youths was as well a topic of concern. Various heads of state from Africa and China attended the event to ensure the provision of quality and accessible education for youth.
At the heart of youth development, the forum discussed the issue of cultural development for the youths. The cultural developments of countries to be able to meet up with the current trends were a major concern for the participants of various countries at the forum.

African youths aspiring to be future leaders are supposed to get the needed cultural knowledge in order to be able to prepare for the task ahead.
Also, they discussed the issue of rural development. They focused more on the current state of rural developments among these two partners. There is a need to promote rural development within these places for the development of the youths.
Ensuring that youth living in rural areas have access to the necessary tools for development will help promote rural development. The rate of unemployment among rural dwellers was another challenging issue raised and this was duly tackled.
In addition to the above, the Ambassador of China to South Africa, Chen Xiaodong at the forum said, “I am very pleased to hear that a total of 26 projects with investment totaling $8.1bn from China’s Zhejiang province will be carried out in Africa.”
Also adding to that, he continued to say China will continue to encourage more Chinese enterprises to invest in Africa for mutual benefits and common prosperity.
The 2nd edition forum for Africa-China future Leaders was an eye-opening event for all the participant countries.
