Chairman CPEC Asim Bajwa addressed the inauguration ceremony in Gwadar

Gwadar: July 5, 2021 – (TDI):  Chairman CPEC authority Asim Saleem Bajwa addressed the inauguration ceremony of Gwadar phase-II on Monday.

Prime minister Imran Khan, Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Mr. Nong Rong, Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani, Minister of Balochistan Mr. Jam Kamal along with FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi, federal Ministers, investors, Chinese workers, and ambassadors from other states were present in the ceremony.

Chairman CPEC addressed the attendees and initiated the speech by welcoming PM Khan on behalf of the China port holding, Gwadar port authority, and CPEC authority. He also appreciated the presence of ambassadors who showed keen interest and commitment to the cooperation programs.

Chairman CPEC stated that it is a historic day as Phase 1 is completed and almost 46 enterprises are using it for business activities. He further said that the inauguration of Phase II of Gwadar’s free zone will be a billion-dollar trade job, and investment opportunity.

He praised Imran’s government and stated that Gwadar has developed and have become operational because of Imran’s personal interest, his leadership, and supervision of CPEC which is leading to the growth of the project.

Gwadar port free zone policy, Afghan transit trade, Iran border management, and border trade, East bay expressway are some accomplishments of CPEC under Imran’s government which Bajwa mentioned in his speech. Gwadar city is also developing alongside Gwadar port.

100-bed hospitals, international Airports, vocational institutes, and East bay expressway are the projects which are also under construction, said Bajwa.

Chairman CPEC also mentioned that the people of Balochistan have been complaining about water, electricity, and job issues and he himself and the people of Balochistan believe that Imran Khan’s ‘South Balochistan development project’ is an answer to all their needs.

Asim Bajwa thanked all the ministers for their efforts in making CPEC a success.

A special mention was made for the security forces by Bajwa as he said that the CPEC project is continuing without any disruption and delay because of the efforts and service that the Security forces provide.

At the end of his speech, Bajwa appreciated Mr. Nong Rong, the Chinese ambassador to Pakistan for making creditable efforts and putting in extra energy and attention for the execution of CPEC. ‘CPEC is expanding and consolidating under Imran’ said Bajwa to end his speech.
