Islamabad (TDI): Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, held a meeting with Vice Chancellor Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) Dr. Niaz Ahmed Akhtar at the CDA Headquarters on Wednesday.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on land-related issues of Quaid-i-Azam University and other administrative matters.
Both sides agreed to conduct a comprehensive survey of QAU land, identify encroachments, and take action in accordance with legal requirements.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa stated that the authority would play its full role in eliminating all forms of encroachments on Quaid-i-Azam University land. He added that CDA is actively carrying out operations across Islamabad to remove illegal encroachments.

The Chairman further noted that CDA’s representation in the QAU Syndicate could help strengthen coordination between the two institutions.
He also emphasized that internship programs between CDA and Quaid-i-Azam University could facilitate the development of high-quality human resources, stressing the need to enhance linkages between academia and industry.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Akhtar highlighted that stronger collaboration between industry and academic institutions would promote applied research, innovation, and employment opportunities.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening mutual cooperation and institutional ties.
The meeting was also attended by Member Administration Talat Mahmood, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, Member Planning and Design Dr. Khalid Hafeez, Member Engineering Syed Nifasat Raza, senior alumnus of Quaid-i-Azam University Muhammad Murtaza Noor, along with other senior officials.
