Islamabad, 13 August 2024 (TDI): Car sales in Pakistan increased by 58.21% in July 2024 compared to the same month the previous year, according to data released by the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA).
In July, 5,857 cars were sold, up from 3,702 during the same month in 2023.
The data shows a substantial rise in car sales and in a number of important models.
In July 2024, Honda sold 790 Civic and City cars, a significant increase over the 208 units sold in the same month the previous year.
The sales of Toyota Corolla and Yaris saw a 3.65% surge as well, going from 1,067 in July 2023 to 1,106 units.

Suzuki sold 502 units last year, a stunning 101.60% increase over the previous year’s 249 units.
Not every model witnessed gain, though; sales of the Suzuki WagonR fell to 139 units from 245 units last year, and sales of the Suzuki Cultus fell to 96 units from 177 units the year before.
While sales of the Suzuki Alto increased from 1,440 to 2,869 units, a 99.23% increase.
Even the Suzuki Bolan saw a spike in sales, going from 146 units in July 2023 to 288 units.
