Jordan: June 01, 2021 – (TDI): The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, Marc Garneau, who is on an official visit to the Middle East, went to the Jerash refugee camp in Jordan. During this visit, he had one-on-one talks with the Palestinian refugees. He got to know about the challenges the Palestinians face on daily basis. This visit helped him understand the opportunities provided by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) to the refugees. He furthermore, reiterated Canada’s firm resolve to assist the Palestinian refugees.
