July 13, 2021 – (TDI): The Foreign Minister of Canada, Marc Garneau congratulated the newly appointed Foreign Minister of Spain, José Manuel Albares on his appointment. In a tweet, Mr. Garneau expressed enthusiasm to work with his Spanish counterpart in the future. He reiterated Canada’s determination to further strengthen its bilateral relations with Spain and to mutually face contemporary challenges. The Canadian Foreign Minister also showed gratitude towards Arancha González, the former foreign Minister of Spain, for the great partnership they had during her tenure.
