Cambodia is planning a game for this year’s Robocon. The name of the game is ‘Robots sprinkle flowers on Angkor Wat Temple’ or ‘Robots toss rings at a pole’. It is the combination of Cambodia’s blessing dance and the popular game of coin toss.

Cambodia has participated in the ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest since 2017 but has organized its national Robocon since 2014. The Kingdom won the best idea award and special award in 2017.

Moreover, the country won 2nd runner-up and special award in 2018, and 5th award and special award in 2020.

The ABU Robocon is an Asian-Oceanian college robot competition, founded in 2002 by Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union. In the competition, robots compete to complete a task within a set period of time.

The contest aims to create friendships among young people with similar interests who will lead their countries in the 21st century. Moreover, it helps advance engineering and broadcasting technologies in the region.

ABU Robocon has been providing an international stage for engineering students in the Asia-Pacific region to showcase their robot-building skills.
