Tokyo, 5 August 2021 (TDI): Burkina Faso’s athlete, Hugues Fabrice Zango, made history as he claimed the first bronze medal in the men’s triple jump at Tokyo 2020 Olympics on Thursday.

He earned a bronze medal with a jump of 17.47 meters, the first-ever Olympic medal for his West African nation of Burkina Faso, become the 100th country in the history of games to win a medal in athletics. Some bronze medals taste like gold.
