London, 7 September 2021 (TDI): The British Government has appointed Jo Lomas, the British High Commissioner to Rwanda as the new Commonwealth Envoy. She has previously served as British High Commissioner to Rwanda and Namibia.
This morning, Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab announced the appointment of a new Envoy to uphold the UK’s relations with 54 Commonwealth nations. He said that the British Government has always worked for the prosperity and growth of its Commonwealth family comprising of 2.4 billion people. He expressed his delight to designate Jo Lomas for this office.
