Islamabad, 29 June 2022 (TDI): The British High Commissioner in Pakistan, Christian Turner, visited the Foreign Minister of State Hina Rabbani Khar and congratulated her on the successful visit to CHOGM2022.

The subject of discussion was the relationship between Pakistan and UK.

Pakistan and the United Kingdom have long been friends and partners. The two countries are cooperating bilaterally on national and international levels to strengthen their partnership.

Pakistan and UK look forward to commemorating 75 years of diplomatic ties, with a number of events.

Furthermore, the two dignitaries agreed to expand mutually beneficial trade, investment, and people-to-people connections.

Pakistan and UK’s Bilateral Ties

In the 74 years after independence, bilateral ties between the United Kingdom and Pakistan have remained tactical, a corner from which they cannot be wiggled until Pakistan reinvents itself.

In the recent event of Queen’s Birthday and Platinum Jubilee, events were organized in different cities of Pakistan to highlight the importance of Pakistan and the Uk bilateral ties.

Additionally, The ceremony acknowledged the 75th anniversary of the two countries’ relationship. The connection is based on people-to-people ties, with 1.6 million Pakistanis living in the UK.

Moreover, the Pakistan-UK relationship, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, is historic.

He highlighted his government’s determination to improve Pakistan-UK bilateral cooperation in a variety of areas, including trade and investment.

PM Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the Enhanced Strategic Dialogue should increase mutual involvement and also, raise bilateral cooperation to the next level.

The Prime Minister also praised the United Kingdom’s efforts to promote education, health, and other social areas in Pakistan.

Moreover, the United Kingdom and Pakistan each have High Commissioners, who frequently serve as ambassadors within the Commonwealth in the other nation.
