London, 7 September 2021 (TDI): The Foreign Secretary of the UK, Dominic Raab holds a virtual meeting with Abdul Momen, the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh.
Secretary Raab said that Bangladesh is an important partner of the UK in the region. Both state officials exchanged views about the need for coordinated efforts to curb the crisis in Afghanistan. Issues of climate change and Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh are also discussed. Additionally, they appreciated UK-Bangladesh long relations and expressed enthusiasm for enhancing their trade relations.
