British Foreign Secretary discusses Afghanistan with partner countries

London, 9 September 2021 (TDI): The Foreign Secretary of the UK, Dominic Raab has discussed the situation in Afghanistan with many Foreign Ministers of allies states. He said that the UK intends to work with partner states to deal with the situation in Afghanistan.

In his tweet, he mentioned he has communicated with 24 foreign ministers from different partner states. Afghanistan remained on the agenda of all these meetings. The UK seeks to respond to the grave challenges in Afghanistan through international collaboration. Partner states will play a significant role in providing safe passage to Afghan expatriates. He mentioned that sending humanitarian aid to Afghans and ensuring that their country does not become a safe haven for terrorism was also an important part of these meetings.
