Beijing September 04, 2024 (TDI): The BRI Media delegation visited the Industrial Parks in China and was happily surprised to see the speed of work and the progress made by the Chinese. They raised many questions and got wonderful answers of success of Chinese industry and speed o growth and work flow.
The delegation’s trip was over 3-4 various locations of the industrial parks.
Asian media delegation participating in the 2024 “Belt and Road” Media Cooperation Forum went to see JD Logistics Asia No. 1 Chengdu Intelligent Industrial Park.
The members of the delegation were reportedly shocked by the rapid growth’s scene where boxes of goods were quickly and orderly out of the warehouse, a piece of goods that had been “ordered” was quickly packed, packages were quickly sorted on the conveyor belt, and the sorted goods were loaded on trucks and ready to go.
Jingdong Logistics Asia No. 1 Chengdu Intelligent Industrial Park was put into use in 2019, covering an area of 365 acres, with a construction area of about 270,000 square meters, equivalent to the size of 35 football fields.
It is one of the largest intelligent logistics parks in southwest China, with orders covering five provinces and cities in southwest China, including Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Tibet, and Guizhou.

As reported by Chinese media, looking at the packages flying quickly on the conveyor belt and being sorted, Sanani, Pompadi, a reporter from Laos’ “People’s Daily”, was very positively confused: “At such a speed, can’t the sorting go wrong?”
The on-site narrator then explained: “This is a high-speed automatic sorting system, suitable for small and medium-sized parcel sorting, with the form of automatic package feeding, to minimize personnel input, improve sorting efficiency, our sorting accuracy can reach 99.99%.” ”
“Shocked” became the word that Sanani Pompardi mentioned the most during this trip.
Walking into the packing area, Sanani Pompardi had a new question: “Will there be small goods packed into big boxes?” “When we send goods out of the warehouse, we use big data algorithms to recommend a reasonable number of packages according to the length, width and height of the goods, so as to avoid large boxes and small items when packing, as well as excessive number of orders and excessive unpacking, so as to reduce the waste of consumables and reduce costs.”
The narrator explained in detail, “We will also define the goods with a high number of outbound quantities as best-selling products based on the popularity of the goods, and through the algorithm, these goods will be placed in the storage location close to the picking production line in advance to reduce the walking distance of the pickers.”
There are also some cyclical bestsellers, which will also be dynamically distributed in some specific periods. ” Thanks to the new technology for all this surprising pace, the narrator explained.
