The Book of Turkmen National Leader Reaches Islamabad

Islamabad (TDI): The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad organized a presentation of the Book written by the Turkmen National Leader, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, tilted Jewel of the Mind.

The participants were given a detailed presentation explaining not just the contents of the book but also its concept and philosophy, that motivated the Turkmen National Leader to pen it down.

The book was published last year in November and contains an introduction and two chapters, as the participants were told.

The first chapter of the book, Travel to History, describes Turkmenistan’s history, how it started and how far it has come, while its second chapter, Spiritual Heritage, exclusively brings to life the values of Tukmen culture and the spiritual facets of Turkmen heritage.

Talking about his book and especially its second chapter, Berdimuhamedow said “As for its content, I have included materials devoted to the influence of Magtymguly Pyragy’s works on human values, our glorious history, and the contribution of the nation’s culture to world civilisation.”

Magtymguly Pyragy was the great poet and thinker of Turkmenistan and is celebrated among the Turkic people as a spiritual leader. The International Organization of Turkic Culture declared 2024 as the Year of Magtymguly Pyragy.

The author of the book and the National Leader was Turmenistan’s President since 2006 and in 2022, the Presidency came to his son, Serdar Berdimuhamedow, who is currently the country’s President.

The ongoing year has been declared by the United Nations as the International Year of Peace and Trust, on Turkmenistan’s initiative as it coincides with the 30th anniversary of the recognition of Turkmenistan’s Permanent Neutrality by the international community.
