Washington D.C (TDI): In the wake of the 6th U.S.-Republic of Korea Foreign and Defense Ministerial Meeting, which featured Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III and ROK Minister of Defense Kim Yong-hyun Blinken meets with ROK Foreign Minister Chou on Thursday.
Foreign Minister Cho engaged in a constructive dialogue with Secretary Blinken regarding their shared apprehensions about the strengthening ties between Russia and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
Secretary Blinken twitted on X:
Great to meet ROK Foreign Minister Cho on his inaugural visit to Washington. We discussed our growing cooperation on global issues and emphasized our concerns about the DPRK’s aggressive behavior, as well as its unlawful military cooperation with Russia. pic.twitter.com/aiy1sbgzoD

In addition, when Blinken met with ROK FM CHOU, both leaders engaged in a discussion regarding the DPRK’s military presence in Russia’s Kursk Oblast.
The parties engaged in a constructive dialogue regarding initiatives aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation on a diverse array of regional and international challenges.

The two officials acknowledged their mutual dedication to enhancing the U.S.-ROK Alliance, which serves as a fundamental element for fostering peace, security, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region and beyond.
