Karachi (TDI): Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday declared that Pakistan had scored a major diplomatic victory over India, following a high-profile international campaign aimed at gathering support for Islamabad’s position in the aftermath of the recent military standoff.
Speaking at a reception held in his honor after returning from the multi-nation tour, Bilawal said India’s attempts to isolate Pakistan had backfired. “They tried their best to corner us diplomatically,” he told a cheering crowd, “But the world stood with us, our message prevailed.”
Bilawal, who led a broad-based parliamentary delegation on a diplomatic mission earlier this month, said the group visited New York, Washington, London, and Brussels. The delegation met with UN officials, lawmakers, think tanks, and global policy experts to present Pakistan’s position on regional security, the Kashmir dispute, and the fight against terrorism.
Among the delegation were senior figures including Senator Sherry Rehman, Dr. Musadik Malik, Hina Rabbani Khar, Bushra Anjum Butt, Khurram Dastgir Khan, Faisal Subzwari, and former foreign secretaries Jalil Abbas Jilani and Tehmina Janjua.

“We carried Pakistan’s message to the world, a message of peace, of truth, and of justice for Kashmir,” he said. “We highlighted Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war against terrorism, and we challenged the false narratives being spread by India.”
Referring to the brief conflict with India from May 7 to 10, dubbed Marka-e-Haq, Bilawal said that Pakistan’s military response was swift and effective. “Despite being a smaller country, we gave a fitting reply. We’re proud of our armed forces,” he said.
Bilawal also slammed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s repeated threats over water, saying Pakistan would respond forcefully if the Indus Waters Treaty was violated. “If India touches our rivers, there will be another war. And next time, not just three, all six rivers will be ours,” he warned.
On Kashmir, Bilawal said the issue had always been close to the PPP’s heart. “We raised Kashmir’s voice in every meeting. And for the first time, President Donald Trump openly said he is ready to help resolve the Kashmir dispute. That is no small thing. That’s historic.”

He further stated that India’s terrorism accusations had lost credibility in the eyes of the world. “If Pakistan was involved in terrorism, would our army chief have been welcomed at the White House?” he asked, referring to Field Marshal Asim Munir’s recent meeting with President Trump during his visit to the US capital.
Bilawal described that meeting as a clear message that the world recognizes Pakistan’s role in ensuring regional security. “Field Marshal Munir was received with respect. That’s not just a military milestone; that’s a diplomatic statement.”
