Minsk, 25 January 2023 (TDI): The Foreign Minister of Belarus, Sergei Aleinik talked with the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, Faisal bin Farhan as they both discussed various ways to promote cooperation.
A tweet by the Foreign Ministry of Belarus stated, “we have confirmed mutual interest in the intensification of Saudi-Belarus relations.”
This development came when both leaders had a phone conversation which was to ensure that they find ways to promote development among each other in these times of global challenges.
They discussed issues of mutual support for each other, trade cooperation, and cultural and diplomatic ties among themselves.

On the issue of mutual support, the parties agreed that cooperation between these two countries has been in readiness to provide mutual support in the international arena.
The Minister of Saudi Arabia which is predominately dependent on oil and oil products will serve as a good support to their counterpart. Also, they discussed the need for strengthening their bilateral relations as countries.
The bilateral relations between these two countries have been long-standing one which yields development and support. The need to keep it stronger was a major factor they considered.
The promotion of cultural relations between them was another issue of great importance to them. The Foreign Minister of Belarus, Sergei Aleinik pointed out Belarus.
They are expecting to increase their foreign exchange and intern promote a huge revenue generation for the country. The Belarus government has said multiple times that they welcome every decision seeking to help the country generate income.
In the closing remarks, both parties reiterated the fact that they work on the things which hamper peace in the region. Protection of the lives and properties of their citizens is a necessity for socioeconomic development.
The issues of terrorism and political instabilities were brought into the conversation as they seek to ensure that all those issues are prevented from the region.
