Belarus PM Hails Pakistan Military’s Peace Role

Islamabad (TDI): Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko of Belarus met with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir on Tuesday during his visit to Pakistan.

The two leaders discussed regional dynamics and explored avenues to enhance security and defence cooperation between Pakistan and Belarus.

During the meeting, General Munir expressed Pakistan’s appreciation for Belarus’s positive role in global and regional affairs, reaffirming the desire to further strengthen military ties between the two nations.

Prime Minister Golovchenko praised the Pakistan Armed Forces for their crucial role in promoting regional peace and stability, acknowledging their professionalism and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.

Moreover, Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko also called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the sidelines of the 23rd meeting of the SCO, Council of Heads of Government in Islamabad.

Welcoming the Belarus premier, Shehbaz stressed the need for sustained exchanges between both countries for maximum utilization of the potential of bilateral cooperation, especially in the areas of trade, investment, agricultural machinery and joint production of tractors and connectivity, a statement from the PM Office said.
