Islamabad, 3 May 2024 (TDI): The Embassy of Pakistan, in collaboration with Pakistan-Azerbaijan Economic Cooperation Chamber, organized the book launch ceremony of “Transcending the Boundaries. A Brief Review of Pakistani Literature” written by an Azerbaijani Professor Mahira Haciyeva Ph.D. on Thursday, 2nd May, 2024.
Distinguished guests including, the honorable Deputy Speaker of National Assembly Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Former Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed and other members of Pakistani delegation who were in Baku to attend the “6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue” also graced the occasion.
A large number of scholars, professors and deans of various Universities as well as admirers of literature in Baku attended the book launch ceremony.
Rafael Huseynov, member of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and Director of the National Museum of Azerbaijani literature named after Nizami Ganjavi, was the keynote speaker who talked about the rich literary traditions of Azerbaijan and Pakistan.

Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed also addressed the participants and congratulated them on the victory in the 44 days patriotic war. He talked about the strong ties between the two countries, fondly recalling his previous travel to Azerbaijan.
Ambassador Bilal Hayee thanked the participants including the honorable members of the National Assembly of Pakistan who took time to attend the event in support of deepening Pakistan Azerbaijan people-to-people relations.
The book launch event was part of Embassy’s efforts to promote academic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
Moreover, the ceremony signifies a significant milestone in the Embassy’s ongoing efforts to foster academic and cultural collaboration between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
