Baku, 24 December 2022 (TDI): The government of Azerbaijan extended its congratulatory message to the people and government of Libya today on their independence day.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan tweeted from its official Twitter account, “On the occasion of the national day of Libya, we extend our sincere congratulations and best wishes to you.

It is important to note that Azerbaijan and Libya have amicable bilateral relations. The two endeavor to ensure that their relations last as this is a major concern for both countries.

Independence Day of Libya

Libya’s independence is observed on 24 December every year. Libya gained its independence from its colonial masters, the French and Britain in 1951.

After a successful vote from the UN General Assembly, Libya became an independent country on 1 January 1952.

They have continued to celebrate to commemorate the struggle the leading fronts of the fight for freedom did for the country.

The President applauded the citizens for their support of the country and urged everyone to use this day as a means to preach unity and a peace-loving message to each other.

Azerbaijan and  Libya have collaborated with each other as Muslim nations that seek to promote unity and peace among each other.

The issue of terrorism and violent extremism is always the grounds for their message in other to ensure that these issues never befall them.

As a way to forge ahead in their relations, today was a good day for them to remember and wish them well as they seek stronger relations among themselves.

The two sides collaborate on the issues of economic development and trade terms, which are always given great significance in the grand scheme of things.
