Azerbaijan celebrates 30 years of diplomatic relations with Kazakhstan

Baku, 27 August 2022 (TDI): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan organized an event and an exhibition on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.

The attendees at the event included Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry staff, and employees of the Kazakhstan embassy in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Moreover, members of the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Friendship Society named after Heydar Aliyev, representatives of scientific circles, also attended the event.

Remarks by Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister

On the occasion, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Khalaf Khalafov, said that both Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan enjoy friendly and brotherly relations and these relations stem from the shared historical and cultural values ​​of our peoples.

Deputy Foreign Minister Khalafov emphasized the special role of the heads of state in the development of relations between the two countries. He also noted that the two countries have mutually successful activities both on a bilateral basis and on multilateral platforms.

In addition, Khalaf Khalaf pointed out the official visit of Kazakhstan’s President, Kasim-Jomart Tokayev, to Azerbaijan on August 24, 2022, and termed the visit as having “historical importance” in the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan, Serjan Abdykarimov, also expressed his good wishes to event participants on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Further, the Ambassador also highlighted the significance of the visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan. He added, that the agreements signed during his visit will contribute to the further development of the bilateral ties.

Another important guest attending the event was the Azerbaijani writer, Chingiz Abdullayev, who is also the Secretary of the Union of Azerbaijan Writers.

Chingiz Abdullayev also expressed his good wishes at the event. In addition, he spoke about the comprehensive development of relations between the two countries based on historical and cultural ties.
