Islamabad, 2 May 2024 (TDI): Azerbaijan and Pakistan to work together for COP29 which is to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan in Nov 2024.
Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov met the Prime Minister’s coordinator, Romina Khurshid at her office to discuss the upcoming UN-led global climate summit Alam on Tuesday.
COP29 is a significant development towards global climate action. Throughout the meeting, both parties pledged to uphold strong cooperation for pre-COP and post-COP preparations, affirming their dedication to presenting a unified front and position at the global summit.
Pakistan extended full technical support to Azerbaijan for COP29, underlining their mutual objectives and ongoing collaboration.
Ambassador Farhadov expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s offer, stating, “Our goals are the same, so inevitably, our future is the same.” He highlighted Azerbaijan’s immense value for its ties with Pakistan.

Azerbaijan, located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, brings its own unique perspective and expertise to the table.
